Besides when I damage one I can send them back for a free replacement even if damaged from other arrows. I'm willing to bet Magnocks cost more to make. Magnocks and your friends blast them at every opportunity, you designed their nocks and it is a matter of pride! There can't be that much money in nocks to put so much pressure on a little company? Now I know why you are so sensitive about your nocks vs. Gt - It might be my imagination but I think the Navigator pins are harder to bend than the ACE pins- are they made of harder material? Maybe I'll run a hardness test.Īlso I can't see why the Easton nocks you designed are so expensive either? All you have to do is seperate the nocks from each cavity and keep track, couldn't you do that with all the types of nocks you make and have the same consistency in all your packages? I've noticed the odds of that happening is less because the my points usually glance off the steel ball but the ACE pin will bend too sometimes. MAX2000- I haven't done that to my CT Mckinneys yet your picture shows with a perfect shot on the Magnock pin-nock it will drive it into the shaft like any other nock. I don't need to mention that PIN nocks have been used to set more current World Records with both compound and recurve bows than any other design, and most current Olympic records as well. G nocks and Beiter nocks are better for protecting ACE shafts. The only reason to use a PIN nock in an ACE is for enhanced stiffness and accuracy. The PIN design does a great job of protecting X10's but the hollow pin used in the ACE shafts combined with specific attributes of the ACE wall-diameter ratio eliminates much of the protective quality when the PIN nock is used in the X10. Due to many requests from shooters, Easton decided to offer the nock system for ACE shafts as well. I designed PIN nocks to work with the X10 shaft. The pins are expensive because I designed them with a 2/10000ths runout tolerance. All PIN nocks come from the same nock cavity (within each size). “I feel that practicing the way we do has helped me a lot with gaining confidence in all positions on the mat.The cost is mostly due to the single-cavity design and the specific plastic formulation used. “Working on technique in practice has helped me a lot,” Lexi said. She now has 65 wins in her varsity career. All three went undefeated en route to gold medals in their respective weight classes.ĭeSiato was particularly impressive, going a perfect 5-0 with five falls. The trio of DeSiato, Shook and Gifford led the way for Western Wayne. “They have some big goals this year, so we’ll be holding them to a high standard throughout the season.” “Every one of these kids wants to make it to states,” Coach Harrison said. The Wildcats were part of a 19-team field which included the likes of Williamsport Area, Montgomery, Northeast Bradford, Benton and Sayre.Ĭoach Harrison’s girls weren’t intimidated, though, powering their way to a total of 109 points and the overall team title. On the heels of this big win, Western Wayne headed up to Athens to compete in the inaugural Jarvis Memorial Tournament. Sara Shook of Western Wayne has reeled off six consecutive pins to open the girls wrestling season. The Wildcats will be back in Athens for that school’s annual duals tourney. Weather permitting, Western Wayne will be back in action this coming weekend. “With the matches we have all wrestled so far, I am excited to see where this season takes us.” “Seeing all of the girls come out to join the team and sticking with it has brought me so much joy,” Lexi said. DeSiato boasts a perfect 6-0 record with six falls. The battle-tested senior has wrestled six bouts thus far and has been flawless. Lexi DeSiato is once again pacing the on-mat attack. Then going up to Athens and coming out on top was huge.” “That was a really big win over Delaware Valley in our gym. “I couldn’t have asked for a better start,” Coach Harrison said.
